Overall Improvements (Please click here to see the photos of some new designs and improvements.)

-- Efficiency and Comfort

  • New ways to open up the sound without changing the fundamental embouchure hole design.

  • Reducing noise but retaining tone quality.

  • Redesigned key cups to increase padding stability and accuracy.

  • Optimized key angles which results in added comfort and overall efficiency.

  • New key rods which are harder and achieve a very fine micro finish, Also the inside of the key tubes are polished to a micro finish. This helps in achieving a closer fit between the rod and key tubes. Players will immediately feel the smooth action and the absence of any key play.

  • Reconfigured springs to improve evenness and retention.

  • Thinner ribs.

  • Different soldering techniques to achieve stronger tails on keys.

Body Joint

-- Optimization and Innovation

  • A new bridging piece is added between left hand and right hand ribs to eliminate the conventionally weak spot on the flute.

  • Separate spring post for the f# key, making the action more responsive.

  • New diamond tone hole tools to achieve flatter tone hole tops.

  • New back connections (F-F#-Bb and B-Bb) and notice that the angle of the felt allows for a more mechanical ease of movement.

Foot Joint

-- Strength and Elegance

  • We have made the mechanism more stylish while reducing the total weight, without sacrificing the strength. In fact, the C and C# keys on the foot joint have been reinforced to withstand higher pressure.

  • Rollers have been resized and repositioned to better allow the finger to land positively on both rollers for low B.

  • D# roller has been extended to be even with the C key roller which helps moving from C key roller back to D# spatula

  • Smaller rollers.

  • D# spatula set to mechanically correct angle to reduce rolling effect (hence making the flute more stable).

  • Ease of operation with re-shaped D# spatula on models without roller.
